Hey Gorgeous, 

It's true... I FOUND A FANTASTIC DUPE ON ALI EXPRESS! Lately, everybody on youtube has been raving about the new Artis brushes, but I'm not going to spend $500+ on makeup brushes! Just think of all the things you could buy with $500... food, food, makeup, food, & more food! That being said I decided to try my luck at finding a great cheap dupe, mission complete. I bought these for five dollars and they are a life saver, I don't think I'll ever go back to my beauty blender, and I swear that was my holy grail makeup applicator.

Hey Gorgeous,

Today we're going to talk about statement shoes. While I preach about every wardrobe needing the basics, I also believe that having statement pieces is also a necessity... Is that a double standard? I think so! Really what I'm trying to say is that while having the basics is extremely fundamental, having a few killer statement pieces in the form of accessories and shoes is always a great way to spice up your basic outfits. 

I'm wearing a pair of Gucci pumps that slay the game. Literally. The silver detailing on this pair of heels makes me feel like I'm wearing jewelry on my feet! While on the hunt for the perfect statement pieces there are a few questions you should ask yourself before spending major $$$.

Is this statement item going to be in style in 5-10 years?

Is this statement item practical? 

Is this statement item worth it?

Is this statement item easy to style?

If you answered yes to all 4 questions then *ding* *ding* *ding* you have yourself a winner! 

I could make like 10 posts on different kinds of statement items worth buying, but for this post I'm going to stick with shoes. So I went digging around the internet and found a few pairs of shoes that pass those 4 questions with flying colors. 

Silver Oxford Platform Shoes: I just purchased these bad boys and think they might just be the coolest oxford shoes I've ever seen in my life. They're so unique and funky which is why I fell in love with them.

Perspex Heel Ankle Boots: Guys... The Perspex heel trend has been going on for quite some time and I have a feeling like it's not going away any time soon. But even if this trend still isn't super big throughout time, I still feel like these sick shoes will drop jaws in 5-10 years. 

Silver Sparkly Ankle Boots: omg... If Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz was a modern teenage girl, I'm absolutely positive she'd swap the red flats for these silver sparkly ankle boots. I want these so bad! 

When rocking a statement heel you don't need to go all out with jewelry. I kept this outfit super simple by wearing a silver beaded bracelet and some long earrings. The dress I'm wearing is from June & Hudson, I recommend this style of dress to all different kinds of figured women. The lined design of the dress didn't pick up very well on camera, but it's kind of a ribbed texture. This is a bandage dress, meaning it's tight yet forgiving. It hugs in at all the right places, but stretches where it needs to (like the booty & chest area). HERE is a very similar dress made by the same brand.

Fall Must Haves: Fashion

Okay, so now into the fashion must haves for the fall. If you watch the video below I show my staple pieces for any fall wardrobe, but if you aren't able to watch that I'll just tell you here! 

Mahi Leather Duffle Bag 

I got the bag from https://mahileather.com/ and it's is the perfect size for overnights and small road trips (which I often do in the fall/winter time.) It was only $115 for a huge REAL leather duffle which is such a great price in my opinion.

Plaid Dress

I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH: PLAID "SHIRT" DRESSES ARE THE BEST THING FOR THE FALL. They are warm, stylish, & super easy to throw on in the morning when you have no idea what to wear. 

Leather Booties: 

I got the ones shown in the video from ASOS & they are so comfortable and easy to walk in, which is a must when searching for the perfect pair of heeled leather booties.

Fleece Lined Leggings

I got the fleece lined leggings from TJ Maxx last year for about $15, not gonna lie... That was one of the best purchases of my life. I go to a private Christian high school, which means I have to wear a uniform involving a skirt... So when the weather drops to below 30 degrees and your bare legs are exposed it's not a very pleasant feeling. But besides wearing them with a skirt, they are great to wear with long shirts and even a plaid dress to keep you all cozy when that cold front hits! 

Fuzzy Socks

You probably already knew this, but fuzzy socks are the real MVP when it's cold out. Shove those suckers into your leather booties and your tootsies will be toasty all day.

I jumped on the sale of the Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks. The original price of this bundle was around $90 and I was not about to spend that much $$$ on colors that I would probably never wear. So when he reduced the price all the way down to around $35 I decided to purchase them to review for a video & to tell you guys how I feel about these bright neon/pastel colors! The consistency and feel on the lips is great, just like his other liquid lipsticks, my problem is the actual colors. They look fantastic on Jeffree and the gorgeous bi-racial girl that tried the collection on for his video, but on myself.... it's a whole other story!!!

I decided to go ahead and buy the real ones, based on all the awesome reviews they had & I'm not surprised to find that the real ones are fantastic AND EXTREMELY LONG WEARING. This stuff is like a one application at the beginning of the day kinda lipstick. Maybe a touch up here and there, but for the most part once this product is on it stays on, which is what I need. Best Glitter Eyeshadow Pigment Ever | Inglot AMC Pigment

Hey Gorgeous,

You definitely know by now that I'm ALL about glittery eyeshadows and making a statement with my eye looks. I'm constantly searching for a brighter and better glitter pigment, and I think I'm done with my search. These pigments mixed with the Inglot Duraline makes for such an intense glittery bomb on your eyes, which I think is freaking awesome. The only bad thing about these is that the fallout problem is REAL, so I recommend doing your face makeup after your eyes. 

You can purchase them for $16-$19 on InglotCosmetics.com which is a pretty good price considering the amount of pigment you receive in each container.

Love Light Lips | Lipgloss Review & Swatch

Hey Gorgeous,

Beyonce slays every game she plays including the makeup game, so when I found out that she had these sick light up lip glosses I NEEDED to try them out, just because I find the concept of a light up lipgloss super fascinating. I got 5 different shades and each one is really pretty on, I recommend putting these glosses over a lip liner or a lipstick that matches the color of the gloss just if you're going for an extra vamped up look. But if you like the subtlety of a gloss on its own these are perfect for you. The packaging is the best part to be honest, the light and the mirror makes applying on the go super easy. Warning: Do Not Buy Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks

Hey Gorgeous,

The long anticipated and constantly requested fakeup series has a new edition! So I bought these Jeffree Star velour liquid lipsticks from AliExpress.com for about $4 each and at first I thought they were awesome and super matte but then I realized they were so dry that it was actually making my lips crack AND THEN they stung for the rest of the night! DO NOT BUY THESE. My lips were extremely dry and cracked for the next few days even though I constantly moisturized them. My best advice is to just get the real ones (which I did end up ordering directly from Jeffree's website) or go for the NYX liquid lipsticks which are amazing quality and super affordable.

Oil Spill / Galaxy Lips

Hey Gorgeous, 

I am obsessed with this oil spill lip design only created with 4 different lip glosses! I got the lip glosses called "Lip Switch" from Sigma and was over the moon with excitement when I saw the cool holographic, color changing powers of the gloss. This product on your natural lip ends up looking like clear gloss, so it's not very effective on its own, but over a dark black, purple, or really any dark pigmented color it really pops multicolored awesomeness! Huge ColourPop Haul & Tutorial

Hey Gorgeous, 

I was SO surprised by the fantastic quality of Colourpop's products! Everything on their website is priced so incredibly reasonable, which makes shopping and buying new makeup super affordable and fun! It only gets better when you find out the makeup quality is up to par with your high end products, so yes I'm very excited about future purchases from Colourpop.com. The eyeshadows are absolutely amazing, by far my new favorite formula and consistency for shadow. The metallic lipsticks were okay on their own, but I've been recently wearing them just in the center of my lips after applying a nude lip liner and it looks really great! Not going to lie, I don't reach for the highlight everyday, but that's only because it's a light purple color so it doesn't go with every kind of look, but is still a fantastic product. Night Nation Run 5k | Stand Up To Cancer

The other day my friends and I got to go to this super fun dancing 5k! While we didn't necessarily run the race, we did dance and sing our way to the finish line. The after party was the best part, jumping and raving our hearts out to the awesome music the DJ's were playing. MoonDust Palette - *new* Urban Decay

The Most Beautiful Lipstick You've Ever Seen

I got my hands on the most beautiful lipsticks I've ever seen and it actually looks really awesome on as well! So these bad boys retail for $30, but I decided to test my luck on AliExpress and find some dupes. I'm not going to lie... I don't think these are dupes that were sold to me for five dollars... I think it's the real deal, just being sold for super cheap on the side. If you watch the video review I did, (below) you would see how professionally each lipstick is packaged with the plastic covering the box & every detail of the packaging itself being spot on to the real Kailijumei lipsticks. Be sure to checkout the video I made to see each color swatched on my lips. I'm convinced that every color they sell is the same formula and the same pigment, the only difference being the decorations inside the clear lipstick. Other than that I love the hot pink color and how it leaves a pretty stain on the lips.

Kylie Cosmetics | Reasons Why You Should NEVER Buy Fakeup

If you haven't read my post about Kylie Cosmetics Heir & So Cute | Lip Swatch & Review, definitely go check that out, because I highly recommend her products. Since I loved the two lip items I purchased straight from her website I wanted to try to find some dupes that were far more $$$ friendly. So I went to the good old Aliexpress.com to find some fake lip kits. Little did I know that what I'd be receiving was GLUE in PRETTY PACKAGING. Okay, I'm exaggerating just a tad, but in all reality I swear they put some Elmers Glue in that fakeup! DIY Under Eye Mask | Get Rid Of Dark Circles!

Hey Gorgeous,

Since the summer started I haven't been going to sleep at a decent hour... Therefore, some serious under eye baggage has shown up on my face. I did a bunch of research on how to get rid of them naturally and then put these ingredients together to make a refreshing little mask for my dark circles.  

Under Eye Mask Ingredients: 

Brown Sugar - 2 tbsp 

Coffee Grounds - 1 tbsp 

Vegetable Oil - 1-1.5 tbsp (mix in little bits at a time) 

Vanilla Extract - 1 tsp (to leave a sweet scent) 

Instructions: 

Mix all of the ingredients together till you get a nice liquid consistency. Place on under eye bags for 10-15 minutes before washing off with cold water. I usually put this on before I get in the shower for easy removal & cleanup. (watch the video below to see these instructions in action.)

Fair Day | Adventure Vlog

Retro Barbie | Pink Rockabilly Dress

Hey Gorgeous, 

I'm back with yet another of my most favorite style of dress ever! This forever classic and stylish rockabilly style in a baby pink fit just perfectly in the barbie pink bedroom I used to shoot these photos. I was totally channeling some late 90's early 2000's vibes with my choker and clipped up hair. This is the second dress that I own from the amazing designer Naty BK, the first one being a red and green flower printed rockabilly pinup that I made a post on a few weeks ago. Go checkout that post right here: Pinup Doll. If you love these dresses you would die for the jewelry she sells on her Etsy Shop, as well as other super cute accessories. 

My favorite thing about these dresses is that you can style them so differently each time you decide to wear one. Throw on a jean jacket and wear some white tennis shoes and you're ready for a theme park or an ice cream date. Slip into some high heels and a cardigan and be on your way to a movie date or a night out with the girls. Basically what I'm trying to say is that this style of dress is extremely versatile and fun to switch up by mix & matching accessories. 

My second favorite thing about this outfit is the clutch... Because I love pretty much everything that sparkles. The clutch pictured is from Judith Leiber and is exquisitely made, but I found a few that are more reasonably priced. 

Sondra Roberts Crystal Box Clutch: Here is great option if you aren't looking to splurge. 

Rhinestone Clutch: This one is a bit less expensive than the Sondra Roberts clutch (linked above), but still just as quality looking.

Judith Leiber Couture Crystal Slide-Lock Clutch- If you are looking to splurge on an extremely well made Judith Leiber clutch, here is one that is very similar to the one I'm sporting in the pictures.

stand out in a POP of color

Hey Gorgeous, 

Everyday I surprise myself more and more with my outfit choices. I have worn more color in the past few months than I have in the past few years... I think that since I have my hair dyed black I am taking a step away from wearing my usual all black outfits. I'm kinda missing my grunge looks a lot, not gonna lie. 

Okay, now back on track to this bright orange dress: I found this gem at a boutique in California called 2Bella and I'm so glad that my mom made me try it on. Never thought I'd love the look of bright colors on my pale skin as much as I do. I feel like intense neon colors look beautiful on all skin tones, it really accentuates your skin no matter if you're as pale as paper or as dark as a bronzed goddess.  

Ladies, don't be afraid to wear bright colors! You might just end up surprising yourself and find a new love for intense color in your wardrobe. The best thing about dresses like this one is that they are super light and airy, therefore extremely comfortable to wear in the summer heat. Since I purchased mine from a boutique I couldn't find the exact one online, but I did find a bunch of adorable bright sundresses (linked below.)

Bright Red Slip Dress: This looks so comfortable and breathable for everyday wear out in the hot sun. 

Mustard Yellow T-Shirt Dress: Throw this over a swimsuit and head to the pool or accessorize with you favorite pair of wedges and head out for a lunch date.

Hot Orange Shift Dress: I can totally see myself wearing this to a summer festival. Because of the tie up front, it gives off a hint bohemian vibes that I love.

Classic Linen Pants

Hey Gorgeous,

My mom recently gave me this pair of linen pants and at first I never thought I'd wear them, but then I tried them on and fell in love. Now I feel like everyone should own a pair of white linen pants, just because these things will never go out of style! My mom bought this pair from Diane von Furstenberg (DVF) a few years ago and they are still stylish and chic today! You could totally dress up your pants, but I decided to go for the chilled look and pair it with a tank and add some black accessories to complete the look. 

You can NEVER go wrong with black accessories, all you have to do is throw a few of your favorite black pieces together and all of a sudden it looks effortless and perfect! I wore my favorite chunky heels from Steve Madden, black choker necklace, Chanel crossbody, and some gold and black bracelets.

Kylie Cosmetics Heir & So Cute | Lip Swatch & Review

Hey Gorgeous,

Yes... I jumped on the massive bandwagon and purchased some Kylie Cosmetics lip products, and I'm so glad I did. These things literally sellout within hours of restocking on her website, so I'm really lucky to have gotten my hands on the Heir Metallic Matte Lipstick and the So Cute Lipgloss. I made a video of my first impressions so definitely go check that out to see what the swatches look like. 

Heir Metallic Matte Lipstick

While this doesn't really appear metallic in the tube or on my lips, I really enjoy this color and the consistency. I wore this for 6+ hours and the longevity of it is great, which is hard to come by. I ate donuts, drank water, got many kisses from a big puppy and as the lipstick faded it still looked nice on my lips and not super patchy, but that may be because it's a nude color and not a super bright red or hot pink. Over all review: the color and consistency is amazing, but it's not necessarily a metallic color (I still love it and recommend it despite that little issue.)

So Cute Lipgloss 

 THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST GLOSSES I'VE EVER TRIED. The color is beautiful, and the longevity is also great. I don't have any complaints or negative things to say about this gloss. Therefore, if you're looking for the perfect nude, your search is over.

July Ipsy Un-bagging

Hey Gorgeous,

So, as you can see from the video (inserted below) I am extremely excited about the products I received, and am over the moon impressed with the bag all of the items came in. The bags in the past months usually are super disappointing, just because they either have a tacky print or just a weird design all together. I will definitely be keeping this cute little holographic bag and using it to hold other things in my everyday life. Now onto the products, because that's probably why you clicked on this post. (HA) 

Shray - Ms. Amazing & Queen Bee Masks

I just put on the Ms. Amazing mask and I was pleasantly surprised... It left my skin feeling so soft and moisturized, if I end up liking the Queen Bee mask (which I probably will) I'll definitely pick up some more of these awesome little sheet masks. 

Luxie Beauty - Luxie Rose Gold Small Angle Eye Brush 215

I have a flat eyeliner brush from this brand and it is fantastic so I have no doubt I'll love this brush as well. 

Mellow Cosmetics - Baked Eyeshadow in Plum 

When I first swatched this shadow it was a bit chalky, but went on my skin super pigmented, so I'll just have to see how well it lasts throughout a full day of wearing. Other than that the color is beautiful, I don't have anything else like it in my collection. 

bareMinerals - Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Swag

Basing my opinion off of the swatch on my hand I can tell that this is going to be a very nice matte color. It wasn't too runny or too thick, it was a consistency similar to the Kylie Cosmetics liquid lipsticks. The color is also super pretty.

Not Soap, Radio - Joy Inducing Hand/Body Lotion

This stuff smells amazing. It's also very moisturizing and light. It's not one of those super thick lotions where it feels like it will never dissolve into your skin, so that's a plus in my book.

The Estee Edit - Metallishadow Creme + Base | Tutorial & Review

Hey Gorgeous, 

I was on the hunt for the perfect shimmery metallic shadow for a while now and when I came across this Metallishadow in Sephora I just had to try it. The concept of having the shadow base come with the loose glitter is so convenient. I love matte shadows, but intense shimmery glitters take the prize for my favorite kinds of shadows. Overtop of the base, this silver glitter is extremely pigmented and over the top, just how I like it.

Little White Dress | LWD

Hey Gorgeous,

The little white dress... yes, I just changed the famous LBD (little black dress) into LWD. While a classic black dress is a staple piece in any woman's wardrobe, so is a classic white dress. I picked mine up from the Zara in downtown Los Angeles and sadly they aren't selling them anymore, but the good thing about a LWD is that there are millions of options to choose from.

Lace White Dress: This one reminded me a lot of Chanel styled clothes, therefore it exudes expensive taste.

Structured Midi Dress: LOVE this structured style of dress. Super classy yet still sassy. 

Ivory Shift Dress: This one is almost identical to the one I'm wearing.

Another thing I love doing is matching up basic clothing pieces with a pop of color from my purse. My Grandfather got me this baby blue Coach purse for my birthday a few years ago and I find it super appealing to pair with white clothing pieces. Whether it's white jeans and a white t-shirt or a white dress.

Everyday Summer Joggers

Let me tell you a little bit about these pants... It actually feels like I'm not wearing any pants at all to be completely honest. These are my go to pants for a regular day filled with errands, casual ice cream dates, and taking my dogs to the park, etc. I got this army green pair from Lululemon, but I also have a grey pair that I found at T.J. Too Faced - Lip Injection Extreme Lipgloss | Review

Hey Gorgeous,

I recently picked up this lip gloss from the Sephora at the Beverly Center in California. I was super skeptical on wether it really worked or not and wanted to try it out to see if it is worth the 28 dollar price tag! (ridiculous, I know.) So this product comes in the 'normal' lip injection lipgloss, but no... I had to go all the way and get the extreme version. I mean... If you're going to be buying a lip plumping lip gloss you want to get the biggest lips you can possibly get so picking the extreme version over the normal wasn't a hard decision for me. 

I already have quite plump lips to begin with so maybe that is why the results weren't as drastic as I would've assumed them to be. For me this lipgloss is not a repurchase item, but sure is fun to wear! One thing I LOVE, is that the 'plumping' ingredients in this gloss turned my lips a nice pinky-red shade. I liked this a lot, because naturally my lips are almost the same color as my skin and kinda blend in with the rest of my face, so I'll be wearing this on days where I don't want to wear lipstick but still want my lips to be visible. While I didn't notice a HUGE difference in the size of my lips, I have to admit that they did become a tad larger, so anyone looking for that little bit of a difference this product is definitely for you. 

I can see myself definitely finishing this lipgloss, but I probably won't be dropping thirty dollars to get another. Watch the video below to see the application process as well as the difference between my natural lips and the gloss coated lips. Aspire to be Inspired.

Pinup Doll

Hey Gorgeous, 

Let me tell you a bit about this gorgeous rockabilly pinup dress that I picked up at the Rose Bowl flea market in California. First of all, it's so cute and classic. The print is just adorable. & this style of dress is practically flattering on all figure types, because of how it cinches in super high up. The designer of this dress (Naty BK) was there selling a bunch of other dresses just like this one in all different colors and patterns, I literally wanted every single one in my size. Currently she doesn't have a website to buy directly from, but informed me that soon will be selling directly from her own site. Here is her Etsy page, where she sells accessories, but go and like her Facebook page to be updated on when her website is launched! Until then I found some other options of extremely cute rockabilly style dresses. 

Cherry Print : This is the same exact style of the dress I'm wearing, except in a super cute cherry print  instead. This dress is being sold on Modcloth.com which has a ton of vintage inspired dresses and clothing. I ordered my Sophomore year Winter Formal dress from there and was extremely impressed with the quality and uniqueness. 

Ivory Swing Dress : The first thing that popped into my brain when I saw this was "Marilyn Monroe." Such a classic and cute style, definitely recommend. 

Red Halter Pinup  : Love love love this dress.

I feel like I'm having a major style crisis, not in a bad way though... I want to dress up in these adorable pinup dresses everyday! Just the confidence from wearing this style is enough to make the rest of the day 10 times better. Aspire to be Inspired.

Hiking & Cliff Jumping At Hocking Hills | Adventure Vlog

Last week I went on a mini road trip with a bunch of my friends to Hocking Hills. I woke up at 4 in the morning to finish making sandwiches for everyones lunch and then we all met at our old middle school at 5:30 AM to start on our journey. Since we had gotten there so early (around 7:30 AM)  it was a bit chilly, but it was perfect for hiking! We later stumbled upon a waterfall and a huge rock and saw some little girls jumping off and decided to take our chances at cliff jumping as well. It was such an awesome day, I got to film it all on my GoPro Hero 3 so be sure to watch the footage from our road trip down below. Aspire to be Inspired.

Boho Chic

Hey Gorgeous,

I wore this outfit to Red, White, & Boom downtown Columbus for the annual fireworks show. Usually, I would dress up a bit nicer, because my grandma has a place with the most amazing view of the sky. Instead, this year I went down into the park accompanied by my friends and a TON of other people. So, because I was going to be sitting in the grass on a picnic blanket for most of the night i decided to go with a more casual outfit. I love this fringe top that I got from a little boutique in California, it's perfect for Summer's hot and humid weather. I paid it with my favorite black high waisted shorts from Zara. I HIGHLY recommend having a classic pair of black high waisted shorts, just because they are totally in right now, but also because there are so many ways you can wear them. Personally, I love high waisted shorts with crop tops, but also with normal shirts as well, simply because they hold everything in especially after a big meal (which I eat quite often during the summer.) I'm not going to lie... I own about 5 pairs of high rise shorts in different colors and patterns, so I'm not lying when I say they're my absolute favorite. Here are a few pairs of shorts I could definitely see myself wearing. Here, perfect black pair here, light pink pair, denim lace up shorts. Aspire to be Inspired.

I got this adorable flowy maxi dress from this cute little boutique called 2bella and instantly became obsessed with it. This generation is all about showing as much skin as possible, but I disagree! I felt beautiful in my fully covered skin, as I spun around in the wind. Life Tip: You don't need to show skin in order to be beautiful, clothing is only an accessory to your inner beauty! You may or may not already know that black is my favorite color to wear, but sometimes it is refreshing to add a bright white to my all black look. I got the white bomber jacket from Zara and absolutely love everything about it, especially the silver circle snap closures. Here is a similar, but a bit less structured bomber jacket. A few more options of super chic white bomber jackets, here, here, and here. A black and white color scheme is flattering on practically everyone, so if you haven't tried mixing these two colors on yourself, what on earth are you waiting for!? West Coast Vibes | Boyfriend Jeans

Hey Gorgeous,

I am in the beautiful state of California and absolutely loving every second of it! Channeling the chill vibes from the west coast into my outfit, all based around these boyfriend jeans I got from American Eagle. I think boyfriend jeans look great on every body type, just because they are a bit baggy, giving the illusion that your legs are really thin underneath the material. I paired the jeans with a black sparkly tank and a grey jacket, adding a white beaded necklace and bracelet to add a bit of contrast. I got these super cool sunglasses from the Rose Bowl flea market the other day and thought they were super unique. One mistake I made when buying my boyfriend jeans is I wanted them to be super baggy so I went a size up (which was not a good idea because they hang around my hips.) Tip: Buy your size!!!! and if the 'bagginess' isn't to your liking DON'T SIZE UP, just continue searching until you get the perfect fit. I recommend going to a department store, because they will have all different brands so you can try on different fits and sizes to find the perfect pair. Aspire to be Inspired.

How I Edit My Instagram Pictures | VSCO

I've been using VSCO for editing my pictures for quite some time, it is by far my favorite editing app  (actually the only one I use.) This post includes a bunch of my favorite edits I've made as well as a direct link to my account where I post most of the photos I take on the daily. The pictures that I don't post on my Instagram will most likely be posted onto my grid. I tend to go for a more dark look on my pictures, usually bringing down the exposure and temperature as well as turning up the vignette to bring the light to the center of the picture.
